Anne Cooke has run fitness centres, programs, special events and her own personal training company for over 20 years. She was involved with the women's fitness weekend at Blue Mountain for 18 years.

Newly re-located in Niagara Falls she looks forward to re-creating fitness services she provided in Toronto as well as creating new and exciting programs and events!

Ryan Shanahan is a Toronto & L.A. – based personal fitness trainer. He is internationally recognized for his expertise in KettleBell training and for developing many innovative fitness techniques.

Ryan Shanahan has collaborated with the world’s top athletic trainers, physiotherapists, and athletes from across the globe. Ryan is experienced training clients from the NHL, NFL, Olympics, National Ballet of Canada, and The Royal Canadian Mounted Police and has worked on Movies such as The Hulk, Max Payne, and The Love Guru.

Ryan partnered with FitnessWorx to develop and produce ‘KettleWorx’, a Six Week at home Body Transformation system with 10 DVDs, 36 workouts and over 10 hours of personal instruction. Along with this system, Ryan wrote his first book, Fat Free in 42.

Ryan has been a frequent fitness expert for TV shows and magazines such as The CBS Early Show, The Doctors, Breakfast Television, TSN - Off The Record and In Touch magazine. Owner and Founder of FitnessWorks For Women Inc., Toronto, Canada, Ariella Tsafatinos is a mother of 2 university aged boys and has been teaching and training in the fitness industry for almost 20 years.

Pre and Post Natal Specialist, and Older Adult Fitness Specialist.

She currently personal trains and teaches Pilates, Step Aerobics, Boxercise, Weight Training, Resist-a-Ball, Pre and Post Natal Pilates, and Weight Management at her club, FitnessWorks for Women in the Beaches neighborhood of Toronto.

She loves to walk or run on the boardwalk, and includes mastering proper walking and running techniques in her training of clients.

She has presented at Blue Mountain’s Women’s Fitness Weekend from

2003 - 2007, and at the Women’s Fitness in the Falls Fitness Weekend in 2008. She has been a guest speaker at The Running Room’s clinics in the Beach, speaking on the topics of proper warm-up and stretching.

She is especially happy to have been able to help many women make monumental improvements to their health by helping them increase their energy and lose the fat pounds while hanging on to the valuable lean muscle weight through her individualized classes, training, and weight loss program.

She offers a truly holistic component to exercise and lifestyle. Since studying nutrition at Ryerson University she has made it her mission to educate people on nutritious natural foods. She has changed many lives with her enlightening nutrition seminars. Charlene is a certified Fitness Instructor with certificates for Medical Exercise Specialist, Bosu Training, Personal Training,Yoga Specialist, and Suspension.

This is Rachel's 10th year with the Anne Cooke Fitness team, and she is happy to once again be a part of the wonderful experience that is the Womens' Fitness in the Falls Annual weekend. Jazzing it up this year, but still bringing back the oldies but goodies, like Hip Hop and In the Flow. Rachel looks forward to sharing her love for music and movement with over 20 years of fitness and dance experience and education.

Christopher Roche

Christopher has spent fourteen years showing participants how to move while promoting his belief that “if you focus on the fun, the fitness will follow”. He is well known in Toronto for innovative choreography based cardio classes as well as Cardio Combat. (Tae Kwondo and boxing).

He was the Group Exercise Program Director at the Richmond Hill Country Club for over eleven years and was the conditioning coach for the North York Aquatic Club, 2003, 2004, 2005.

Christopher is a Can-Fit-Pro certified Personal Trainer Specialist (PTS), Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS) as well as a Program Development Specialist (PDS). He is the producer and co-choreographer for the new mind body DVD “In the flow™” and is also a feature member of the television and video fitness series “FITNESS ZONE.

Christopher has presented for Can-Fit-Pro, IDEA, SCW and has been a Group Cycling Master Trainer since 2000 where he brings an authentic, ‘real riders’ approach to indoor cycling. Since 2003 he has presented the Schwinn cycling based program “ReAction Cycle” and is also a member of the Nautilus Institute as a Schwinn Cycling Master Trainer. He has presented cycle trainings to hundreds of instructors in Toronto, New York, Buffalo, Philadelphia, Tampa, and Boston.

As an ACE certified professional Chris is also a CEC provider for BTF in eight other exercise programs. In 2005, he achieved the recognition of becoming a certified post rehab. Medical Exercise Specialist, completed training as a Resistance Training Specialist (2005) and also in 2005 was invited to be a National Trainer for EFI Sports Medicine™ (San Diego) for the new “Gravity Training System”. Presently Chris is the owner/operator of “System4Fitness”, a Toronto based fitness company.

Anne Baker is the owner of Partners In Health – Bodies In Motion, a multi dimensional fitness training business. An early love of movement and being outdoors, as well as athletics and dance, lead Anne to her current profession. Her training style is based on Pilates & Yoga training and philosophies, but is personalized to allow for peoples individual needs. Anne teaches a variety of classes, including Aquafit, Pilates, Yoga and Athletic Conditioning, as well as offering training in a one on one setting. When not indoors teaching or training, Anne can be found outdoors, hiking or running, or on the water in her OC 2 or a Dragonboat. Anne was a member of the 2007 Canadian Senior Women’s National Dragon Boat team and represented Canada in Sydney, Australia at the World DragonBoat Championships. The Women’s team successfully brought home 3 gold medals; one for all race distances. She will be a member of the 2009 team this summer, representing Canadian Senior Women in Prague at the 2009 World Dragonboat Championships.

Justin Elie has been teaching and performing for over 9 years and has worked for the YMCA, Disney Cruise Line and Good Life Fitness Clubs where he worked as an Instructor and General Manager. In addition to being named GoodLife ‘Instructor of the Month’ numerous times. Some of Justin’s other accomplishments and experience include an appearance on CityLine presenting a group fitness class, having the opportunity to host and shadow present in front of 500 participants at Les Mills Canada Day 2007 at the Can Fit Pro Fitness Conference and this past summer, Justin was named a top 3 finalists in the Kathy Smith Fitness Idol Contest.

Justin has also facilitated various professional development workshops for Tri Fit Inc, including presenting at the 2008 and 2009 Tri Fit Volunteer Conference.

Justin is a graduate of the Recreation & Leisure Service Management program at Fanshawe College and holds numersous certifications including: Can Fit Pro- Fitness Instructor Specialist Can Fit Pro- Personal Trainer Specialist, Les Mills International – BodyPump, BodyStep, and BodyAttack.

Justin currently works for Tri Fit Inc as the Fitness & Wellness Consultant/ Energy Zone Coordinator at Invesco Trimark in North York and also teaches group fitness part time at GoodLife Fitness Clubs in downtown Toronto.

Ross is President & CEO of Fitness Kickboxing Canada Inc. (FKCI) and oversees operation of Fitness Kickboxing programs, Certifications and continuing education courses across Canada. Ross is a Can-Fit-Pro PTS, Advanced PTS, CPR and CFE PRO Trainer. Gudrun is one of the co-owners of MSC Fitness. Gudrun’s life has always revolved around fitness. She has been teaching for over 25 years in Canada and overseas. For the past 10 years Gudrun’s emphasis has been in the field of Yoga where she has found her passion. Gudrun is a Certified Fitness Instructor, Johnny G certified Spinning Instructor, and is Certified with Yoga Alliance in Ashtanga Yoga and Hatha Vinyasa Yoga and is now studying Anusura Yoga. She has also completed her Advanced Yoga Teacher Training.

As a skinny kid with asthma, Michelle never expected to excel in the athletic domain. Despite these challenges, she went on to compete in volleyball at the rep level, basketball and rugby at the varsity level and threw javelin at the national level. She has worked hard on her physique over the past 14 years and competed in amateur natural bodybuilding earning a Pro Card in her most recent competition with the IDFA.

Michelle believes that the secret to success lies within the 6 inches between your ears and spends her time spreading this gospel to patients and clients. Besides being a top trainer in downtown Toronto, Dr. Crispe also practices Chiropractic at Clear Medicine, a Wellness Boutique in Yorkville. She teaches her clients about the importance of nutrition, posture, movement and a healthy nervous system. Michelle and her partner also began their own wellness consulting company, renewtrition, in 2008.

Dr. Crispe completed her 4 year undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University and went on to another 4 years at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. With 12 years of personal training, nutrition and wellness coaching experience, Michelle now uses fat-loss secrets of the bodybuilding and physique industry to help others achieve the same success.

Dr. Alexandra Gellman
Alexandra Gellman of Guru and Associates Wellness Inc. brings an impressive mix of credentials to her presentations, as well as a remarkable supply of enthusiasm, energy and talents. Alex has valuable experience within the corporate world.

For the past 25 years, Alex has grown a healing practice in homeopathy, nutrition and emotional coaching. She has appeared on many radio and TV shows, and been a presenter and keynote speaker at health and corporate conferences.
